One thing I never learned much about was the nervous system… funny seeing as that pretty much is the control center. However, that is not where any of my classes really focused and so I have always felt like I am lacking a bit of knowledge in this area…. But…

The Electrifying Nervous System is just a mere $15.99, and filled with wonderful photos, rich content and engaging facts!! My seven year old… a new reader is loving looking through this book and trying to read as much as he is able… we are going to start sitting down together and read.

There are eleven chapters covering everything from the basics of our brain, to the spinal column, to MRIs and CAT Scans, to the Blood Brain Barrier, to health and nutrition, to The Wacky, the weird and Wow Facts!!

This book was developed by a homeschooling pediatrician. It focuses on God’s amazing design and how he designed a hugely functional nervous system for the human body. It is recommended for third through sixth grades. However, my highschooler has now gained a new interest as he has looked through this book!!!
