Homeschool Mineral Study

Minerals are fascinating. We have had a few books about minerals, but NEVER anything from a Christian perspective, until now… The Mineral Book, by David McQueen, from New Leaf Press, is EXCELLENT!! I have looked for a homeschool mineral study in the past and never found anything. It is geared to the homeschool family making it a great book for your homeschool geology studies. At nearly 100 full color pages, this book is packed with information to keep your kiddos interest.

My children can’t put this book down. Two have already read the entire book!! They love it and want more!!

The Mineral Book is one to keep on the shelf that you can easily grab whenever you happen to find some rocks or other mineral to research. We will keep this handy for this summer.

A couple weeks ago, we drove into an area of our state that has a lot of flint and other rock layers. It would have been nice to have taken this book with us, so we could do some more investigating…
