About Me

I am a Christian Homeschooling Mom to six beautiful children. I am married to one awesome farmer, who is the second light in my world. God being the first. This blog is about our journeys that God chooses to guide us through. Our struggles that we face on those journeys and our accomplishments. My goal is to offer you a bit of encouragement through my words, because choosing to go against the grain is not always the less bumpy path. Learn more about me

Holy Housewives has a Forum and Starts in One Week

Hi! Welcome to Peace Creek on the Prairie. If this is your first time here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed day.

Holy Housewives is a Christian reading group for women at home, offering prayer, encouragement, and support on this journey in which our typical modern society frown’s upon. The journey of a housewife, is one of many ups and downs. Holy Housewives will choose books that are written to encourage and support you in your quest to be that Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 woman that has gotten lost in today’s society.

We have added a forum, and we also have a Twitter Hashtag #HolyHousewives. If there is interest, we will also add a Facebook page.

I invite all my readers to join us in our trek to become better housewives for our families.

Our first book will be Passionate Housewives Desperate for God, by Stacy McDonald and Jennie Chancey

You can order the book by clicking the book below.

Passionate Housewives Desperate for God: Fresh Vision for the Hopeful Homemaker

By Jennie Chancey & Stacy McDonald / The Vision Forum, Inc

Filled with encouragement and words of wisdom, Passionate Housewives is written for women who aspire to live in obedience to Christ, but struggle to reconcile society’s definition of womanhood with God’s Word. Learn why the “desperate housewife” is a myth and discover why women should embrace their god-given role as a homemaker and helpmeet. Stacy McDonald and Jennie Chancey show how you can find true contentment in God’s order and discover overwhelming joy by dying to self. 206 pages, paperback.

You can grab the button below, so your blog readers will know about our group. We will be posting, both on the forum and on our blogs. There will be a linky each week to add your URL to, so others in our group can follow along as we read.
