Today, which would have been my daddy’s seventieth birthday, I am guest posting at Not Consumed, sharing my experience and a few tips to help you through the death of a parent or to help you help a friend through the death of a parent. It has been nearly sixteen years since I walked this fiery path, but many of those emotions are so near the surface at any given time, a smell, color, sight, or taste often bring back memories that challenge me to stay in my faith in God.
