Current Events have taken a back seat in children’s interest. However, in recent years you can see an alarming trend that society is not up to date with what is really going on in the world. Our current events pages were designed to help you guide your children in keeping up with important events taking place all around them. There are twenty pages, including pages for political events, international, national, local, election, missionary, economic, education, and many more. Your children will learn to recognize the need to know what is going on, and how to keep up with important events, thus teaching them to prepare for making important decisions as an adult.
A little about DigiFolios:
Do you love the idea of lapbooks and scrapbooks but don’t like the mess? Do your children love to
work and create on a computer? If so, then welcome to a new and technologically advanced way of
learning…digital learning! Everything is done on the computer, but we have added a TWIST!
Think of it as Educational Digital Scrapbooking with guided templates. Your child will have the opportunity to gain research and computer skills, while using their grammar, spelling and writing skills to complete each page.
For a complete page of suggestions and ideas, check this out.
These products were designed with the special needs student in mind. Rather then having lots of handwriting involved, they are able to type into each area. These make a great book for your student to show off to family and friends. Check out all the DigiFolios products.

Children need to keep up with with world eevent. Parents should take the time to discuss them with their children helping them to draw their own conclusions without brain washhing them with their own. This would prevent them front being misled by unscrupulous individuals into taking wrong action. The children learn how to make wise decisions and can apply this decision making process in their everyday lives.
we read articles from World Magazine’s kids mags to keep up with some current events…
You’ve got Heads of government telling people that everything is OK, while “everybody knows it’s wrong, But we can tell ‘em no or we could let it go”

It is important to keep up on what is happening in our world. Thanks for this chance.
We just started getting the paper in the last two weeks, so I would love to start some current events with our two boys.
Would love a good way to talk to my kids about current events. This sounds perfect!
We have been discussing the upcoming election!
I would love to do these with my kids!
We’ve discussed new laws about what children will/ do learn in public schools…
We have been discussing how politics differ from now since the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods. We’ve also been discussing the differences between local politics and federal politics. Interesting stuff!

My oldest son and I have been discussing the election. I really want him to be more informed for when he can vote. He only has 4 more years before he can vote. This would be a great thing for us to do together.

We’ve been talking about politics recently and how people get nominated to run for President. This will be a great year for my children to learn about the election process!
Suicide Bombers http://www.marinecorpstimes.com/news/2012/01/ap-dozens-dead-in-suicide-attack-at-afghan-bazaar-011812/
I have 5 boys and they will most likely all do time in the military in one branch or another. Yet today my 11 year old asked just what a suicide bomber was.
One current event I discussed with my children are the force reductions in Afghanistan and Europe - this affects our military family personally so all 3 children ages 3-10 were listening intently
