At the beginning of 2016, I received an AWESOME, AMAZING planner to review. I had all these ideas as to how I would use it… Then the fact that many of our unplanned welcome to our crazy life educational opportunities and lessons weren’t getting recorded, I found a way to implement that into the most amazing planner I have ever had!! I have posted about my Planning Failure, but I am here to say, that with the right tools you can have planning success.
I am planning my menus in this planner, chores, routines, appointments, blog and virtual assistant info and even our educational life experiences for our homeschool…
Yes, this planner has room for it all, and I am NOT overwhelmed!! I am even keeping up.
I have room for setting goals for myself, homeschool, and other things. There is a place to list a memory verse each month.
The Monthly Calendar, which is where I list appointments, blog post ideas, social media/promotions and other special events is a two page spread. Plenty of room for even our large family. Since April is the beginning of our busy season on the farm, I am trying to keep the calendar somewhat clear.
Each Weekly Page Spread for homemaking, including space for chores, Menu, and routines is numbered by week. This helps keep you organized and on top of things, even during super busy on the farm seasons.
After the Weekly Chore Pages is a Weekly Calendar View… This is where I use this planner for homeschool!! I record all of our lifestyle educational tasks… Anything has educational value outside of a book or textbook… All of it. This makes keeping track of these educational events so much easier!! I got this great idea from Amy at RaisingArrows, though she hasn’t posted about it on her blog!!
What planner is it that has made my life so planning happy? It is the This is My Life Planner from A Virtuous Woman. It is AMAZING!!! It has interchangeable covers, and nice smooth thicker than average paper!! The coil for binding it is heavy duty and the pages rotate around it smoothly!
I have a favorite pen that I use. It is bolder than most, but DOES NOT bleed through the pages!! The BIC Z4+ Roller 0.7mm Pen, is a smooth writing pen that doesn’t bleed through on many papers. It will bleed through on thinner paper, but not in this planner and on some of the nicer papers. I love this pen for writing checks.
This planner has helped me stay on top of school, some chores (Farm Life has been BUSY), and recording educational things for my children. If you are looking for a planner, I HIGHLY suggest checking this one out!! I use this planner EVERY DAY!!
