Over the last few weeks, it has been a bit of a roller coaster around here. Up down, around and around, Skidding to stops and flying down hills.
- Our Hannah has had digestive issues that come and go, over and over.
- MIL had major surgery
- Van AC not working
- Dh’s Pick up keeps breaking down
- Children are restless, and harder to lead and train and teach
- Sinus infection
- Tornado ravaged our area, just missing us. We had two windows blown out
- And more…
I have been working on two articles for other blogs while all this has been going on. This morning, as I was trying to edit the last one, I came across this verse:
James 1:2-4 ESV
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
I am also trying to get ready to leave for the Midwest Parent Educators Convention in KC this coming weekend. With so much going on, I have been wondering if God is trying to tell me to stay home, but after that verse jumping off the screen at me, while adding another verse to an article, I believe I am supposed to go.
My point, sometimes Satan works really hard to make you believe that God is calling you to do or not to do something, hwen it is actually Satan at work.
I am not sure how to always tell which is which, but I can say when a verse such as this one jumps out at you, that God is there, and knows those trials.
How has God been speaking to you?

walking closely with Him and knowing Him is the only way for each individual to hear Him - the careful study of His word & quiet time with Him - when you do these things - He is faithful to show the way for you and your family - I’m never happier than when I’m walking w Him - but sometimes that is when there are attacks too - it’s easy enough (usually) to tell the difference once you get quiet and listen - I always make sure to get hubs take on it as my confirmation from the Lord after I’ve prayed too. So glad you all came through those storms alright!

Glad your family survived the storms without damage. My heart goes out to my fellow Kansans who’s lives were affected by the powefull storms this last week. We also were spared of severe storms, they were about 40 miles west of us. Praying your week goes well & you enjoy your time at the K.C. conference.
I found it for you!

I was trying to find the blog of someone I follow who was forced to miss a homeschool conference, but got a huge blessing instead. A surprise baby horse no one knew was expected! It was such a God thing.
