The challenge is peer influence…my daughter has been at a science camp for a few hours or at swim practice and hears things she is not ready to understand yet.

We have struggled to find a good, fun, Christian science curriculum.

We need to be careful about sources that include evolution, but be prepared to explain it to our kids, not just ignore it.

One challenge is just in knowing HOW to teach them what worldview is and why it is so important to filter everything through the lens of Scripture.

    Re-posting from the other page:

It is hard for me to teach a worldview because I was raised in a cult. It has taken many years to undo the damage that was done to me spiritually but the Lord is good! For me, knowing WHAT to teach is the biggest challenge.

What is troubling to me is teaching the Christian worldview and then “the world” attempts to encroach on on the foundation I am trying to build.

We look for good wholesome books, do bible studies and attend a church that preaches the truth. We also try to watch what is on our television as the media is pushing a live for what feels good agenda.

I struggle especially against most science worldviews, and my children, as they get older, have a hard time explaining their Christian worldview, especially in light of “science”.

I haven’t had a lot of problems teaching my kids a Christian worldview. I can’t be with them every moment, but we talk about what they are seeing or hearing in the world and how it does or does not conform to God’s Word.

When I bring my kids home (we’re adopting), the difficulty teaching them a christian worldview will definitely be the flood of anti-christian falsehood, that is all around.

My challenge is that MY Christian Worldview is different from those who claim they have THE Christian Worldview and I get very frustrated in teaching my children the love and qualities of Jesus when often those proclaiming to follow THE Christian Worldview can be very exclusionary unless you subscribe to thoughts and theology exactly the same as they. We all are anchored in Christ….it’s just some our anchors look a little different!

I think the hardest thing I find about teaching my children a Christian perspective is the amount of secularism that has entered into the churches. How do I convince my children to dress modestly if the entire youth group shows up wearing low-cut, spaghetti strapped dresses half-way up to their bottoms.

My biggest challenges is that the world shouts its philosophy from more places, with more volumes, and with “brighter colors”. I feel like what I am teaching will sound like “just one more option
