Yes, I did shout that. It has been near or over 100 degrees for days. My green beans are burning up despite watering nearly ever day. It is just plain toooooo HOT. There has been one day in the last week that it hit 113.
I have been able to get some beans from our green bean plants that are burning up. I actually have over 10 pounds in the freezer, and we have eaten that many or more. Here is the last pile that went into our freezer, there is seven pounds there, blanched and drying to be put in the freezer.
Here is a picture of the poor plants.
My tomato plants must like this heat though. They are nearly 7 feet tall and loaded with tomatoes.
My hot peppers-several different varieties are not suffering either. They are loaded with peppers.
Yeah, that is a lot of hot peppers. Salsa is on my list of canning.
However, my sunflowers are not enjoying this much heat.
I think anyone around here would agree that they feel very much like my droopy sunflowers. Are you wondering why we have a contraption around them? To keep the dog our of them. His favorite place to dig and lay is there. That is a red neck garden fence by the way.
This little one was one of two found in a ditch when Brad was moving equipment. This one is funny, you call “here kitty kitty,” and it comes a running, gets within about 5 feet of you and starts growling and hissing at us. lol
I believe the deed between our mare and this pretty guy has been done. Now to wait it out eleven months to see if it “stuck”. They still enjoy each others company, so instead of having to keep feed all over the farm, we are keeping them together.
So how is Nature in your world? How is your garden growing or burning?

I love your garden pictures!
