I learned about this convention when Mr. Nunnery contacted me about advertising on my blogs. I immediately wished I lived near South Carolina. I mean, Ken Ham, Dr. Voddie Baucham, and Doug Phillips all under the same roof, all at the same convention, all speaking? Who wouldn’t want to be there. But, alas, I am in Kansas and a farm wife and unless God really works some miracles, I won’t make it to this one. But, you CAN!
…all of the profits for the Teach Them Diligently Convention will go to missions. It is our hope to help parents infuse their educational programs with a Great Commission focus. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God (I Cor. 10:31). We desire to focus parents and children on the fact that we should be seeking opportunities to spread the fame of our Lord Jesus Christ whether through school, playing sports, or running the family business.
Teach Them Diligently will be held in Spartanburg, South Carolina, March 15-17, 2012.
With Speakers such as:
- Doug Phillips
- Dr. Voddie Baucham
- Ken Ham
- Debbie Strayer
- Jeannie Fulbright
- Linda Lacour Hobar
- Heather Laurie
- Hal and Melanie Young
- and many more.
You will want to attend this convention if you live any where close.
The Vendor list is expanding daily, many you won’t want to miss. Like I said, I would be here if I wasn’t half way across the country from it.
Hint, Hint organizers, how about one in the Central part of the USA?
This convention is being organized based on the need to help Christian Parents find a place where Christian Values and Morals would be the forefront of the focus from vendor to speaker, to the children’s program. All vendors will be signing an understanding of the organizers Statement of Faith.
Exhibitors selling curriculum which touches on the beginnings of the earth or origins of man and the Universe must sign that they are in agreement with the first statement. Companies selling Bible curriculums must sign the second statement. Companies whose product does not touch on these two areas are not required to sign an agreement of these two truths (i.e. music, chess, math tutoring, unit studies, literature, etc.); furthermore, companies selling books with Bible content (such as children’s books that recount Bible stories but are not curriculum) do not have to sign an agreement of these two statements.
1) Scripture teaches a recent origin for man and the whole creation, spanning approximately 4,000 years from creation to Christ, and the days in Genesis do not correspond to geologic ages, but are six [6] consecutive twenty-four [24] hour days of creation.
2) The Bible is the plenary, verbally inspired Word of God. It is our final authority for faith and practice and is without error.
Any speakers or vendors whose content contradicts these two truths will be immediately asked to leave.
As the company for whom I am exhibiting meets either criteria above, I acknowledge that we are in agreement with the relevant statement and understand that any breach of this agreement will result in immediate dismissal from the Teach them Diligently Conference.
I encourage you too look around the website, follow their Facebook Page, Subscribe to their newsletter, Read the Blog, and watch what is going on to stay informed.
